College Bound Students: College Applications!!!! Please work on your college applications. Email me an update of your college choices and application status. If you have yet to apply, include the application deadlines for your college choice school in the email. Also include the status of any scholarships you are applying for.
Workforce Bound Students: If you are not going to college, please update/revise your resume and find three jobs that you will be applying for after high school. Attach the revised resume and screen shots of the three job postings.

Students who are passing their classes have a virtual day and a virtual assignment.
Students failing one or more classes (projects exempt) must attend 4th period in the world room to work on completion of missing assignments in addition to the virtual assignment.
Virtual Assignment: Grade Check Email-Subject title "Grade Check" send to your parents and cc me. Include a letter of explanation, appreciation, or apology (whichever you choose) to your parents along with a screenshot of your grades.
In a separate email subject title "Virtual Assignment", please answer these three questions:
1. Something not very many people know about you
2. What you hope to be remembered for
3. What is your dream job
Both emails Due Friday 3pm.

Create a Google Document named "Post High School Plan". On this document, please give three scenarios for your post high school plans, first year out. For example...
1. Get a job in an auto shop or in construction; income approximately $1500 monthly; live with my parents; save $5000 to buy a car; save another $5000 to move out; pay $1000 monthly rent including utilities; cruise on Maui
2. Go to UHMC for a year and take general education courses to work toward my AA degree; get a part time job making $500 monthly; keep the car my parents gave me; figure out what I want to study then plan on transferring eventually to get my Bachelors degree.
3. Go to UH Manoa and live in the dorms and study Marine Biology; student loans for tuition, room and board, etc $20,000 per year.

Please read the document SENIOR YEAR SLC to prepare for this semesters Student Led Conference.
You will notice that you need to complete the About Me essay. Please begin this in class today.
Over the break, you will need to complete your about me essay. The outline and rubric are on the sample portfolio website homepage (scroll to bottom)
PORTFOLIO SAMPLE (ABOUT ME ESSAY OUTLINE AND RUBRIC)
We will schedule your times for conferences the first week that we return to school. That will give us two weeks to schedule but think ahead for now-Conferences are the week of October 30-November 3

You may also use online resume builders to help you with the format. It should not exceed one page, include references, and your work experience and internship. Make sure when listing your experience that the most RECENT is on top.
